How a dietitian can help you

Our dietitians are registered with Dietitians Australia as Accredited Practising Dietitians (APD).

APDs are qualified to provide a range of evidence-based nutrition services, and have the expertise to provide individual dietary counselling, medical nutrition therapy, group dietary therapy and food service management – particularly as this applies to the management of chronic conditions.

These specialised skills and the APD qualification distinguish dietitians from other occupations in the nutrition and food science field, including that of a nutritionist.

Many of our clients are living with one or multiple chronic health conditions that can be well managed through sensible dietary adjustments. Our dietitians are trained to use health coaching and motivational interviewing techniques, which inform our person-centred approach to dietetic practice.

Our dietitians provide face-to-face or telehealth (video or phone) consultations from the following clinics on the NSW MidCoast. Online bookings are available for each of these clinics, or enquiries can be directed to info@helpyourself.com.au.

We have also been providing in-clinic and home visit support to NDIS clients on the NSW mid-coast since 2019.

If you are looking for assistance with gastrointestinal problems then contact our Help Yourself gut health specialists.
